Beautiful Parties
Margaret Hey
"Last September I held an Avon Pink Pamper Party at my local golf course. The event started off quite small but soon escalated into a party for over 300 people! I decided to contact local businesses such as masseurs and florists and asked if they wanted to exhibit at the party. I was overwhelmed with the enthusiasm shown by the community to support the event and we were soon fully booked with stalls offering pamper treatments, selling handbags and tempting guests with cupcakes. Later on in the evening we even did a spot of Zumba! My local Avon representative, Rachel, was a key support during the planning of the party and lots of Avon products were available to purchase on the night.
In total we managed to raise over £4000 which we were extremely pleased with. The majority of this money raised came from the raffle and auction as we had some fabulous prizes donated. We also charged guests £3 a ticket which helped boost the total.
My inspiration for hosting this event came from my daughter in law Nichola, who has recently been given the all clear from breast cancer. It is because of women like Nicola that I wanted to do something to help and I was delighted to raise so much to support the work of Breakthrough Breast Cancer."

"Our 'Big Pink Ladies Night' was fantastically pink! We had pink outfits, pink food and pink drinks! And thanks to the promotion of the event on our Facebook page and in the local newspaper, we were delighted with the great turnout!
The whole evening was great fun! We asked for a small donation on the door in return for a welcome drink of pink lemonade and inside we had stalls selling a variety of gifts from jewellery to arts and crafts. We also had live music from a local band who generously offered their time for free and one brave man even got his legs waxed! In total, 'Our Big Pink Ladies Night' raised £1,350! And this was with thanks to all the local companies who offered their products and services free of charge to make the night such a great success!"
My Top Tip: Never be afraid to ask companies for donations – the majority of them are more than happy to help.

"We held our Avon Pink Pamper Party at our local Rugby club with over 100 ladies. We had an amazing raffle with lots of donations generously provided by local businesses. We also had our Avon orders on the night and donated our 20% commission which resulted in raising a fantastic £900! Everyone had a great night and we are definitely going to make it into an annual event, the support was amazing!"

"I regularly organise an Avon Pink Pamper Party as many of my customers, past and present have had breast cancer. I organise a coffee morning at a local village hall with a raffle, cake stall, craft stall and guess the teddy's name. Local businesses are always willing to donate prizes to the raffle as well. I aways find the event is a great opportunity to preview new Avon products to my customers."

"My Avon Pink Pamper Party was a real success and everybody had a great time!! The Harrow Mayor and his wife even came along and joined in the fun - the Mayor had a neck massage while his wife indulged in a henna tattoo! And as a result, we were delighted to get an article in the local newspaper about the event - advertising the cause even further!
But it simply wouldn't have been possible without all the help from our wonderful volunteers. People kindly donated their time to provide Indian head massages, reflexology, manicures, henna tattoos, Zumba demonstrations and face painting for the children. Friends and neighbours baked lots of yummy cakes and sold teas and coffees and our Avon table was also a great success - as well as selling lots of new products, we also sold the Crusade products to raise some extra money. And thanks to lots of our local companies, we held a raffle full of fantastic prizes.
Thanks to everyone that helped out, we managed to raise £650 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
