Why your help is so important to us
In the UK, nearly 46,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
Millions of us will experience the difficulties and distress that a diagnosis can bring. We want to change this.
Breakthrough is a pioneering charity dedicated to the prevention, treatment and ultimate eradication of breast cancer, removing the fear of breast cancer for good.

Avon and Breakthrough: working to beat breast cancer
Avon's support for Breakthrough goes back 17 years. Together we have raised £14 million.
In 1999, Avon donated one third of the funds needed to help build our first dedicated breast cancer research centre and continues to make a huge contribution to our fundraising and awareness work.
Dr Avon: Bright minds working for a brighter future
One third of the funds raised each year funds our Dr Avon clinical fellowship program.
These are very special scientists, because, as cancer doctors, they enable Breakthrough to take the views and experiences of women from the clinic into the laboratory and then taking those research results back to women.
The Avon doctors spend 3 years working at the Breakthrough Research Centre on their PhD before returning to the clinic.
Their work will benefit women for years to come.
